Serbia Open 2012 Semifinals Live Online, TV Schedule

Three of the top four seeds advanced to the semifinals of the Serbia Open 2012 tennis tournament held in Belgrade, Serbia. Watch the Serbia Open 2012 semifinals action live here. In Serbia, tennis action will be broadcast live on channels Arena Sport, RTS1, RTS2. In the first quarter-final, top seed Pablo Andujar of Spain beat Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic 64 63 to advance to his second semifinal of the year and close in within two matches of winning his second title this year after lifting the trophy in Casablanca last month. Andujar will face Benoit Paire of France in the first semifinal on Saturday.

Paire crashed the semifinals after upsetting No. 3 seed Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 06 62 75. Nieminen had to play two matches after beating qualifier Antonio Veic of Croatia 6:3 4:6 6:3 earlier in the day to continue a second round match that wasn't completed on Thursday. Six sets played in one day proved too much for Nieminen who was playing Paire for the first time. Paire now advances to his first semifinal of the year after reaching the quarterfinal stages in Casablanca and Auckland earlier in the year.

In the third quarterfinal, no. 2 seed Andreas Seppi of Italy beat No. 8 seed Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 64 63. Seppi played in his fourth quarter-final of the year, having already gone this far at Doha, Rotterdam and just last week in Bucharest - and whereas he failed in his first three attempts, has now advanced to the semifinal in his fourth attempt. He now improves to a perfect 3-0 record against Muller. Seppi will play no. 4 seed David Nalbandian in the second semifinal on Saturday.

Nalbandian won the battle of South Americans as he downwed Brazil’s Joao Souza 63 62. Former World No. 3 Nalbandian is playing in Belgrade for the first time and has now reached his second ATP World Tour semi-final of the year after reaching the same stage in Buenos Aires last February. Souza, who was also playing in Belgrade for the first time downed no. 7 seed Ryan Harrison in the previous round and was playing Nalbandian for the first time in his career.
