Roland Garros 2012 - Wildcard Entries for Singles Main Draw

Who will be named as the sixteen wildcard entries to the 2012 French Open men's and women's singles main draw? To date, only two of the 16 wild card entries for the 2012 Roland Garros tennis tournament, the second Grand Slam of the year have been decided. They are for Brian Baker in the men's singles and Melanie Oudin in the women's singles. Both players won playoff tournaments sponsored by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as part of a wildcard exchange program between the US Open and the French Open. 05/18 Update: The full list has already been published including wildcard entries from Australia. In last year's French Open, tournament organizers gave six wildcard entries each for both the men's and women's singles draw. The other two were provided to tennis players from the United States and Australia. Three of the eight men's wildcard entries advanced to the second round - with Arnaud Clément, Maxime Teixeira, and Guillaume Rufin, all from France, winning first round matches before being eliminated in the second round. For the women's singles, three wildcard entries also advanced to the second round before they were eliminated. French players Pauline Parmentier, Caroline Garcia, and Iryna Brémond won their first round assignments before bowing down in the next round.
