2012 Italian Open Tennis Live Online

From May 14 - 20, 2012, the tennis world is focused on the 2012 Internazionali BNL D'Italia, the prestigious tennis tournament held in Rome, Italy. The best tennis players in the ATP and WTA tour are in town to sharpen their skills in time for the second grand slam of the year, the 2012 French Open held in the clay courts of Roland Garros in Paris. All the top ten players in both men and women's tennis tours are competing this week led by world no. 1 players Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka. From Monday to Sunday, up to 39 ATP tour live matches will be broadcast, while up to 26 WTA tour live matches will also be shown. For the first day of live online coverage, several exciting matches are at stake in both men and women's singles tournament. In men's singles, a battle of two top 20 players and recent Madrid quarter-finalists start the action in the Centrale stadium at the Foro Italico in Rome. Alexandr Dolgopolov battles Fernando Verdasco in the first match which will be followed by a first round showdown between former French Open champions Ana Ivanovic and Svetlana Kuznetsova. Another French Open champion will also be in action as local star Francesca Schiavone goes against Ekaterina Makarova. The last match in the main stadium is between top American John Isner and Munich titlist Philipp Kohlschreiber.
