Djokovic, Murray, Serena Live Online in Rome 2012 INTERNAZIONALI BNL D'ITALIA

The third day of action on Tuesday, May 15, highlights men and women favorites in action at the 2012 INTERNAZIONALI BNL D'ITALIA in Rome, Italy. World no. 1 Novak Djokovic, no. 4-seed Andy Murray, Estoril winner Juan Martin del Potro and no. 5-seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga all start their campaigns on the men's singles tournament. Defending champion Djokovic starts his campaign against talented Australian Bernard Tomic in the main stadium to start the night session. This year, Djokovic has reached the finals and quarterfinals in his first two clay court events at Monte-Carlo and Madrid, respectively. He is hoping to win this tournament as part of his preparation for the 2012 French Open. The women's defending champion Sharapova started her clay season with a win in Stuttgart but was overwhelmed in the quarter-finals of Madrid by Serena. In Rome, Sharapova will not face Serena until the finals, if both players make it that far.

Serena starts her Rome campaign vs. Galina Voskoboeva in the night session. The American didn't draw a bye as she is seeded no. 9 for this tournament and she's in the top half of the draw along with world no. 1 Victoria Azarenka. Serena won the title in Rome in 2002, the year she also won her only French Open title.
