With 13 grand slam titles to her name, Serena Williams is undoubtedly the best player in her generation. Serena is the woman tennis player with the most career prize money. She is also the highest woman earner in the world of professional sports – not just in tennis. As of February 2012, Serena has won almost $35 million dollars in prize money and millions more in endorsements. Serena leads the #2 highest earner in women’s tennis by almost $7 million. That player happens to be sister and 7-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams. Serena will most likely stay at the top of the list of woman tennis players career prize money leaders for a long time. With the exception of Maria Sharapova who is in the list, most other players in the career prize leaders list are retiring or retired.
