Latest Update: Agnieszka Radwanska tops Julia Goerges in straight sets to win her first title of the season at the DUBAI DUTY FREE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Radwanska will now rise to the world #5 ranking when the new rankings will be revealed on Monday. This is Radwanska's highest ever ranking. She also takes home her biggest prize money earnings to date of $446,778 for winning the Dubai title.

Agnieszka has been victorious over all other players expect Azarenka who she lost to in Sydney, at the Australian Open, and last week at Doha. This week however, Azarenka has withdrawn from Dubai and Radwanska is in the finals against Julia Goerges of Germany, a player she dominated last month in straight sets in their only meeting at the 4th round of the Australian Open.

Radwanska is very in Poland, where she was born and where currently resides. She started playing tennis at the age of four. Her sister Ursula also plays in the WTA. Radwanska speaks Polish and English and considers Paris as her favorite city. She admires American tennis legend Pete Sampras and would like to become #1 and win a Grand Slam someday.

Radwanska had a career breakthrough in 2011 where she won three tournaments – Carlsbad, Tokyo Pan Pacific, and Beijing. She has now won a total of 7 WTA titles and would like to add the 2012 Dubai Championships to her collection. She has reached two other WTA finals and is a member of the Polish Fed Cup team. She also won two doubles titles – one of them with her sister Ursula. Radwanksa is also the first ever Polish player to beat a reigning number one when she defeated Caroline Wozniacki in Sydney last month.
