Wimbledon 2012 Winners List, Prize Money Earnings

The Wimbledon 2012 has now come to a close and the biggest prizes went to a pair of 30 year old tennis legends who won their first Grand Slam titles in more than two years. Roger Federer won a record equaling 7th Wimbledon title to increase his record Grand Slam titles to 17. With his title win, Federer becomes the new world no 1 in ATP men's tennis rankings. Serena Williams won her 5th Wimbledon title and has the most Grand Slam titles amongst active women players with 14. Serena also won the ladies doubles title with her sister, Venus Williams, and so she will take home the most prize money earnings from this year's Wimbledon amongst all the players who participated, both men and women.
