Roland-Garros 2012 Sharapova Live Stream

The last day of third round action takes place on Saturday, June 2, and several title favorites in the French Open 2012 women's singles tournament step onto court to aim for a coveted round of 16 slot. World no. 2 Maria Sharapova is the main favorite in the bottom half of the draw especially with the shock upset of Serena Williams in the first round. Sharapova will be playing her second match in two days as her second round match was postponed to yesterday due to poor lighting - that leaves her just 24 hours to recover from her previous match which should be fine for Sharapova as she just lost a total of two games in her first two matches.

Sharapova will be the second women's singles match featured in Court Philippe Chatrier and she will be facing the no. 28-seed Shuai Peng of China. Sharapova would be the favorite in this match as her powerful tennis shots will not be matched by the retrieving game of her Chinese opponent. With two rounds of play completed, six of eight seeded women players in Sharapova's quarter of the draw advanced to the third round. While Serena Williams has been removed from the draw, tricky players are still capable of challenging Sharapova from reaching the semi-finals. Talented Julia Goerges, the no. 25-seed is battling Arantxa Rus, the conqueror of Frenchwoman Virginie Razzano who eliminated Serena Williams in the first round. Then, there's former world no. 1 and now no. 9-seed Caroline Wozniacki who would very much like to reverse a series of so-so results in recent tournaments. Wozniacki will play Kaia Kanepi, the no. 23-seed.

Other featured favorites for the Roland-Garros 2012 title are also playing for a spot in the final 16. Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is up against unseeded Russian Nina Bratchikova in Court Philippe Chatrier. Defending champion and no. 7-seed Na Li takes on young American Christina McHale in Court Suzanne Lenglen and the match will be followed by the Wozniacki - Kanepi fight.
