Wimbledon 2012 Women's Final Live Stream: Serena vs Radwanska

Will Agnieszka Radwanska become the first ever Polish tennis player to win a Grand Slam and reach the world no. 1 ranking? Or, will Serena Williams win her 14th Grand Slam title and first since 2010? A day before the women's finals on Friday, both Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska spoke to the press.

Serena Williams - Interview Answers before Wimbledon 2012 Final

On whether she feels like the favorite in the final...
"No. I have to go out there and win. Agnieszka has had a better year than I have. She's been way more consistent than me. She's done really well, so she's ranked higher than me - she deserves to be. I have to fight for this. This is by no means going to be easy. Never, ever do I underestimate any opponent.

"I really like Aga. She's a great girl. I wish her the best for Saturday."

On what it would mean to get her Wimbledon title back...
"Oh, my gosh, it would mean a lot to me. But I have to get there."

On whether all her doubles matches this week will tire her out...
"It would be good to have a day off, but it's also good to practice in doubles because I get a lot of match play, practice some returns and serves."

On her mindset right now...
"Just positive, live for the moment. The past is the past. Any match I've won in the past is in the past. It's important for me to think like that because I tend to dwell on things, like I didn't do that so well, I didn't do this so well."

On her loss to Stosur in last year's US Open final...
"That was tough for me. I had played a lot of matches going into that - not more than I did here, but I was really tired. I really tried. Also I had just come back from a year off, so I think ultimately it was a really great effort for me. I don't know why I was such a heavy favorite. Maybe because I had such a great summer. But I was just happy to make it that far. I mean if you look at where I'd come from, after Wimbledon I was ranked close to 200 - I fought back.

"So that's the one loss I didn't beat myself up over because I felt like, 'Serena, look how far you've come, and look how far you'll continue to go.'"

On her dad's recent comments that a few years ago there was a time she thought she would never play tennis again...
"It was more or less like I wasn't even thinking about tennis. I just wanted to make it through everything I was going through and become a survivor - I've been able to do that. I've been through so much in the past year or two years it's unbelievable. But if you just keep keeping on, you can do it."

Agnieszka Radwanska - Interview Answers before Wimbledon 2012 Final

On the illness she has picked up the last few days...
"Unfortunately I have picked up an upper respiratory illness, which is affecting my nose and throat. I have been playing a lot of matches here in the rain and cold wind, and I haven't been well for a few days. The most important thing is that I'm feeling good on the court and playing some good tennis, despite not being able to talk much away from the court. The priority is my singles match tomorrow, so I will do whatever it takes to make sure I'm ready to play the best I can. It was unfortunate that the illness meant I had to withdraw from doubles. Of course, it is always a good sign to be playing singles and doubles in the second week of a Grand Slam, but I wasn't able to continue in both events."

On having to leave her post-semifinal press conference and miss her pre-final press conference with the illness...
"As everyone could see, I wasn't able to complete my press conference yesterday. I was really hoping I would have improved overnight so I could come in to finish my press today, but unfortunately I can't speak for very long, and so I have done as much as I can do today. I'm very sorry about that."

On playing Williams...
"We have played a couple of times a long time ago. It's going to be another challenge, especially here on grass. She's playing amazing tennis at the moment. I don't really have much to lose, so I'll try my best and we'll see."

On potentially becoming No.1...
"Everyone dreams when they are a kid about becoming No.1, so I'm very happy to have a chance to play for the top ranking. But there is still one very tough match to go. I will do everything in my power to perform well and win. I'm really happy that I've been able to improve my ranking so much this year. I think this is the best two weeks of my career, playing my first Grand Slam final and achieving a career-high ranking no matter the outcome tomorrow."
